FLA Children's Book Awards Finalist!

'Tomatoes in My Lunchbox' has been selected as a finalist for the FLA Children's Book Awards 2023-2024 along with 9 other wonderful books for grades K-2! See the full list below or click on the images to go to FLA's website.

"The Children’s Book Award was created by the Florida Literacy Association (FLA) to create a love for reading in the elementary grades throughout all counties in the state of Florida. Each year titles with varying genres that are accessible for pre-K – 2nd grades and 3rd – 5th grades are reviewed and 10 book for each grade band are selected as finalists. During the months of September to March, teachers and/or students must read at least 7 out of the 10 books for their grade band and vote for their favorite. The books can be read whole group, small group, or independently. The voting process takes place on-line and the winner is revealed in April. The authors of the winning books are notified and honored annually. Lesson plans and resources are also written to help teachers discuss the books with students and teach specific content and skills as required by Florida State Statutes. Reading for fun promotes a lifelong love of reading!"
